IMPORTANT UPDATE TO
THIS WEEKS UNION MEETINGS
A proposal has been brought to the Union Council of COPE Local 131 requesting a short term extension of our current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
This proposal requires an amendment of our current CBA,
and as such must be ratified by in-person vote by the membership of our Union.
The proposal will outline changes to:
1) Base Salary
2) Bonus Details
3) Language Changes to Current CBA
As final language details of the offer are being confirmed, the specifics are not available to publish at this moment, however the details WILL be published online at least 48 hours prior to the initial meeting
on Monday Aug 22.
This will allow all members to digest the information prior to the meetings, where all concerns and questions will be addressed.
Given that next weeks meetings will require a review and vote on this proposal it is MANDATORY that you make your way to one of the scheduled meetings.
All members are welcome at any of the scheduled meetings; however you will of course be able to vote only once. All ballots collected at the meetings will be sealed and tabulated only AFTER the final meeting has taken place.

Your Union Council issued a letter to YPG MGMT on May 20 requesting a formal review of the per km mileage allowance. There has been some informal discussions up till now, but the tremendous volatility and upswing in gas prices have made this a more urgent matter that must be addressed as soon as possible. A copy of the letter is attached:
