Collective agreements are the employment contracts between the union local (COPE Local 131) representing the employees of a particular employer. Each agreement is negotiated with a particular employer to address the specific needs, concerns and conditions of members in that group.

There is a national constitution and a Local 131 constitution. These documents are the rules and obligations of the union. These documents effectively define the law of how we conduct ourselves and the rules we follow to ensure that all matters are conducted ethically, fairly and within the rules of conduct. These documents clearly define all members' duties, rights, and responsibilities, including those who serve as elected officials.
